It was an ordinary evening in Rishikesh.

I was walking along the ghats, no particular destination in mind, when an old baba sitting by the river called out to me.

"Baith ja, beta." — Sit, son.

I sat. He looked at me for a moment, then pointed toward the bridge in the distance — the new one, with its glass floor and temple-shaped towers, standing where Lakshman Jhula once stood.

"Jaanta hai yeh setu kya karta hai?" — Do you know what this bridge does?

"It connects two banks," I said.

He smiled.

"Nahi. Yeh shakti deta hai. Akela insaan doosri taraf jaana chahta hai — darr lagta hai, Ganga tez hoti hai. Par setu ke upar chadh ke, woh nikal jaata hai. Setu ne use shakti di."

No. It gives power. A person alone wants to cross — they're afraid, the Ganga is fierce. But they climb onto the bridge, and they make it across. The bridge gave them strength.

Then he said something I've never forgotten:

"Tera kaam bhi yahi hai." — Your job is the same.

The bridges of Rishikesh aren't random names.

First came Lakshman Jhula — built where Lakshman crossed the Ganga on two ropes alone. Courage made physical.

Then came Ram Jhula — the elder brother's bridge, placed so the two could serve the city together, as brothers always have.

And when Lakshman Jhula was finally retired after 90 years, the question was: who carries the legacy forward?

The answer was always Hanuman — the one who served both brothers, who carried a mountain to save Lakshman's life, who is, in every Ramayana verse, the bridge between devotion and power.

The new bridge is called Bajrang Setu. Hanuman Setu.

Glass floors. Kedarnath-shaped towers. Built to carry what the old one could no longer hold.

And that baba on the ghat — unknowingly, he named our brand.

Hanuman Setu isn't just a bridge in Rishikesh.
