1. Why Broken (Khandit) Idols Are Not Worshipped
When a consecrated idol develops structural cracks, its structural bio-geometry dissipates, making it unsuitable for daily mantra invocation.
2. Respectful Sanatan Disposal Methods
- Jal Visarjan: Immerse the damaged clay or wooden idol gently into a natural flowing river or ocean.
- Bhumi Visarjan (Best for Urban Homes): Dig a small pit in your garden or a clean plant container, bury the wooden/clay item reverently, and cover it with soil. Placing them beneath a sacred Peepal tree is also appropriate.
- Eco-Friendly Immersion: Dissolve clay idols in a clean bucket of water at home and pour the sacred water over household plants.
